Pages Of A Woman's Soul
Email Poem | Today's Poetry

You ask-

What is the cost of love?
Is it your dreams?
Your hopes?
Your identity?
Your very soul?

...that is not love.

Love builds dreams,
it resounds with hope,
it strengthens self,
it deepens the profundity
of human experience.

Our power lies in love.
It lies in not allowing
life's sweeping tides to
wash you of giving yourself away.

Seek not to find the one to love you...
...but give your love away to others,
and it will come to you
unbidden and unrestrained
in immeasurable waves.

And your dreams, and your hopes
will all be fulfilled...

...and your identity, and your soul
will expand to encompass
the universe within itself.

And you will know
what true love is.
