DANCER
Will you ever see me dance
In a swirling black skirt
No underpants
With my veils, my bells
My zils, my silver belt
Have you ever felt
Such release
That doesn't cease
Mind leaves
No soul grieves
I am free
Breathing hardily
Songs with words I don't understand
Only know the music will command
That I lift my hips, twirl, play my zils
Close my eyes and know how heaven feels
Veils fly around me, angel wings
The music plays, I dance, women sing
Classic arms, shoulder shimmies, deer hands
Do you see how my dance commands?
Me to let my veils flow down
Convoluted all around
While I go to God with turns
My tan body burns
In a dream enveloped with flutes
While drums have my hips shoot
Powerful, beautiful, womanly dance
Leaves me in a peaceful trance
Will you ever see me there
With my round tan belly bare
Doing ribs rolls for you pleasure
Sweetheart, belly dancing I treasure
When the chest opens wide
The jewels of dance I cannot hide
Dulce' then is my destiny
You're with my body and we're free!
