Andy and John are brothers whae decided tae live oaf the land;
Their car wis stuffed fu' o' everythin', includin' a loaded gun.
They left their wives, hame an' families tae hae a week oan their ane.
Scotland wis where they were headin', through the clouds an' mist an' rain.
Oan reachin' their destination, they thocht fish an' chips wid be braw;
Andy peeled aw the tatties, John returned wi' a set tae his jaw!
"Whit did ye get" crooned Andy. "A cauld is aw a could catch."
So they dashed tae the nearest chippie, afore they pued doon the hatch.
The next day they fared a bit better but they hadnae a cup jist the same!
So they drank their tea frae a caddie, a bean can wi' a famous name.
John sterted that day oot huntin': Andy fund wid fur the fire;
John returned wi' a rabbit that he'd coat wi' a piece o' thin wire.
They set aboot makin' their denner, bawlin' oot auld Scots sangs,
It wis braw! It wis great! It wis magic; till the pot blew up wi' a bang!
The rest o' the week wis brilliant! They really had a guid time;
Except fur a hunner hiccups, it wis worth aw the cauld and grime!
