Absent Minded
Nostradamus
the prophet liked riddles
and was a son of gypsies
who knew of the stars and tarot cards
maybe what he knew drove him a little crazy
and spent days weeping for the world
and what he knew he had to mask from chuches
that would have had him killed
The prophet was young once
like we all are
but everyone pictures him an old man
and i wonder if he was an art of war
a rock thrown into the future
to promote miracle play
and further prove there is a god
in the midst of war
Reading tarot cards and the sky as a child
mastering his skill with riddles and omens when he was young
growing up to become wise and cursed
with the things he knew and saw
in his head was he crazy after all?
was he crazy after all?
did he cry for the world?
did he send flowers or letters of warning or omens to victims
and what would he do today if he had another chance
would he see this as a hell
and concela his secrets more and more
and claim he was never coming back
even if he was the last remaining link man had to god
like a setting son before the ressurection
he had to accept in a previous life before
The prophet we all read about and now
the prophet we have a book on and some study
he liked riddles and jokes and no one truly
understands much of what he predicted
for back then it wasnt even abouthte money
He saw he saw
he saw what i saw
and left some for me
but if he existed and im alive then tell me why
why nostradamus why?
why did you not predict a mabus such as me?
Five sides i see
a poet
a prophet
a genius
suffering from societies insanity
and a spiritual man like a father or a priest
