Dreaming the Dream of LifeAs we all live our lives day to day our dreams and plans for the future change. As the events of our lives take us new places, and add new situations to our life's we must learn to adapt. This poem is about my difficulty in letting go of old dreams, that circumstances of my life have made impossible, to replace them with new dreams . I dream my life's dreams Just to realize one day nothing is as it seems Trying to reach out to the one I love Only to realize I still need that extra shove The life I planned is no longer in reach In no schools this they teach From a young age on we learn to dream But no one tells you nothing is as it may seem Love, laughter, and happy ever after This is what I dream to master Now I see that all my dreams can not be To accept this is now my key I must move on to dream new dreams And make everything as it seems Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
