If one could only paint
What one sees with ones own eyes~
The paintings would be so sublime
Might even give natures own surprise~
Not even the taking of a photograph
Could capture what one sees~
Like the shapes of naturally form clouds
Floating so high in the breeze~
Like birds as if frozen in the sky
Gliding on a current of air~
And the wind ever so seductivly
Playing games with leaves beyond compare~
The esctassy of a sunrise
With its promise of a beautiful day~
The romance of soft light from a full moon
As if I love you it tries to say~
Grasses all as one together
Swaying in a meadows breeze~
As if dancing to natures symphony
And then joined by nearing trees~
Flowers slowly raising heads after heavy dew
And then blessed by sunlight rays~
And clouds tinted by natures artists
Puting them on a gallery of display~
If we could just once paint lanscapes
With what we see with our own eyes~
For them there would be no reward grand enough
Nor at all a worthy prize~
