To Win A Cowboys HeartI might be some old fashioned But theres still one thing you can do~ To win the heart of a cowboy It only takes a big pot of homemade stew~ Theres many things in my life That does warm my heart its true~ But theres one things that warms my soul Its a great big pot of homemade stew~ And a dish so deep and round and full And a spoon thats not too small~ Thick with gravy lumps of meat and veg And no visitors likely to call~ A large pot on yonder stove Thats still very full indeed~ So when I finished this first lot I can creep back to the stove with speed~ Stew still hot and thick is best But cold I still like it too~ Nothing warms a cowboys heart and soul Like a great big pot of homemade stew~ Terrence Michael Sutton Copyright 2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
