Many forms there are of contentment
One sees as one gets around~
Something will take ones attention
Of sheer contentment to be found~
But one of many visions of contentment
One can come across out in the scrub~
The simplicity of peace of mind
Is a cow chewing it's cud~
Standing mid dat under shade of tree
A look of as if floating off into space~
A robin playing upon it's back
And such contentment written on it's face~
Ears are back and so relaxed
It stands at ease there in the shade of tree~
And chews to a perfect rhythum
Does'nt even notice me~
I rode past the day I felt
That this was contentment in it's own way~
A cow simply chewing it's cud
Under shade of tree in mid day~
If you have ever seen one doing this
Than you will know just what I mean~
The very look a cow gets on it's face
Is sheer contentment supreme~
I guess we all have little things
That we all like to do~
When weve found a real cool spot
And alone can float off too~
But one of many forms of sheer contentment
Out in the country in the shade~
A cow has a pastime
That realy makes the grade~
Of contentment endless photos I could take
And so much great music I could dub~
But if I wanted to record sheer contentment
It would be a cow chewing it's cud~
