Nothing opens faster our spiritual eyes
Than seeing the wreck others make of their lives
For then we compare the rights from the wrongs
We wonder are we as weak or are we strong
We look on in disgust and dismay
To critize, and usually have much to say
We see in others the weakness that shows
While our own faults we hurridly let go
For a time we become troubled and pray
But quickly we slide back to our own nasty ways
The impact of the said case on display
Hits us extremely hard in various ways
We say "poor thing!" and "why was it so?"
"Did not someone point out the right way to go?"
Forgetting that bad habits are easily caught
To avoid them can be a fight that is fought
Only by cultivating a strong spiritual will
Every day in prayer as in taking a pill
It is for us mainly a matter of choice
Whether we listen or give our thoughts voice
Going our own way can be much worst
Into a death trap we may fall head-first
