BACK AT YOU

Although, I only see him occasionally
He sets the smiles off inside of me
Because if I say "I love you" it comes back
I don't worry about what I've lacked

In not hearing that I am loved too
It's what he finds hard to do
Then selfishness I think it could be
After he's done using up me

I know what that man did this weekend
He was excited to no end
To sleep up there at about 8000 feet
Hard work in fun will keep him sweet

But what of you I do not know
After two years not even a picture to show
What the woman you live with is
While I've seen pictures of the lady that's his

I know my place
His concubine
He sees my face
There in his mind

He tells me I am sensuous
Don't ever think that I am less
Than any woman out there
Even at fifty all bare

He's says I'm hot, sexy, smooth
Proud to be a part of my groove
Even if it's only for awhile
He tells me how he likes my style

Then I don't have to wonder
When the rain and thunder
Come to my town
To bring the night down

With the wet cold
Because though old
He helps me be young
With the fun

Where the pride
I don't have to hide
As I have to hide from you
When you can't even come back with,

"I love you, too".
