Heart Of The Matter
Five Miles High
Isle of Arran, from the air, Photographed by Linda Harnett © 2007
Clouds rush by,
I'm flying high,
My island lies below,
A rainbow forms above me,
I see the colours glow,
All cares, all left behind me,
I cross the Irish Sea,
A bright new day is dawning,
And Erin waits,
For me,
And five miles high,
In bright blue sky,
I ride on silver wing,
I travel light,
Fair weather flight,
My love, the gift,
I bring,
Your coastline lies before me,
I'm coming in to land,
I see your face,
Within the crowd,
I smile,
And take your hand.
