A Sleeping Thought
I dreamed I was awake
Being right by mistake
Very soon I was late
But nothing filled my slate
It really was a dream
Uncleverly so keen
This shallow thought ran deep
Awake I was asleep
None the less there is more
Laying there my mind did soar
Something came from nowhere
Quiet a roar filled the air
Though wide-awake I slept
No feeling had I felt
The noise was not talking
Asleep I was walking
The hardwood floor seemed soft
Turned on the light was off
And stopped by swift of hand
I floored the ceiling fan
If dreaming you're awake
Then please for goodness sake
Should walking fill your head
Make sure you're out of bed!
