Heart Of The Matter
My Scotland, Bonnie Scotland
Heading West, Isle of Arran on the right, Mull of Kintyre, on the left.
Photographed by Linda Harnett © 2007
Flying high o'er Arran Isle,
With camera at the ready,
The wondrous sight below me,
I hold it nice and steady,
The Mull of Kintyre, is now in sight,
It nestles far below,
I clearly see her mountains,
No trace of winter snow,
How beautiful my homeland,
My land of love and light,
A moment caught, a memory,
The sparrow taking flight,
I saw the rainbow rising,
Held my breath as we flew through,
Transported to another world,
Dumbfounded, by the view,
What more to say of this great land?
It's all been said before,
My Scotland, Bonnie Scotland,
I could never ask for more.
