THE FREEDOM

I am not good enough
For him to live with
For me it's tough
As I want to give with

A man who'll come into my life
Take me in his loving arms everyday
A man who works for me to be his wife
It ain't coming this woman's way

He'd rather live away from me
I am just too boring I guess
I have to be glad to be free
Not think I am less

Because I am everything to me
A surviving survivor that keeps going
If he wants me to be free
Then the freedom is what I'll be knowing

He says he can't afford to live alone
Somehow I've lived alone for five years
Together if we won't have a home
I cannot live in these fears

My freedom is what God gives
I will take it with appreciation
If he can't be where this woman lives
There will come a man without hesitation

Eventually
I know it will
Freedom for me
Get my fill

Because the so called 'ball and chain"
Is a ring on my left hand
Before I die I'll gain
This kind of passion from a man

If the man's not going to be you
Because for you it's too much responsibility
Then I'll do what I have to do
Until love's chains will set me free

To not write these sad lines
To be happy I am alone
To be blessed with the tie that binds
My freedom goes to God's home

Because sometimes God's the only guy
Who sees and hears and touches me
To his heavenly love I can cry
Because he makes me his responsibility

He is so vast
He's everywhere
His love he casts
To me down here

Then it's all okay
His light around me in the black
Where I don't need a man today
Because Father God, he has my back

He only asks that I pray
That I try to do what's right
Take his saving grace this day
Worship him alone at night

My Father in heaven has angels singing
Today I will sing with them
My Father God will be bringing
The best love that's all from him.
