Poetry For Everyday People

The walls stare back
nothing melts
water in a kettle
on a broken stove
non alcoholic beer
screaming without voice
butterflies too heavy to fly
seeds in a drawer
confused love
sitting by the phone
held down
on all fours
hand cuffed innocence
soul without wings
time ticking
smiling at me
eating air
spiting silence.
nothing melts
water in a kettle
on a broken stove
non alcoholic beer
screaming without voice
butterflies too heavy to fly
seeds in a drawer
confused love
sitting by the phone
held down
on all fours
hand cuffed innocence
soul without wings
time ticking
smiling at me
eating air
spiting silence.
