In Chamber WaitLong the days of memories past Ivy on walls rooted deep Gallant knight on horses fast Young maiden imprisoned weeps Time hath but all hopes erased Word of her prince no more Delicate fingers ‘round locket traced Tears to dampen the floor Eyes no longer the gardens see Though upon horizon stare Hoping a glimpse her heart to free Fall from walls of despair Long the days of memories past Young lovers in passion's bed Gone the scent their bodies cast When passion's hunger was fed Torment stains such fair a face Guided by fear and dread Of a day should courier pace To bring her news he is dead What of war does she most hate Alone no victory's felt Gallant knight or duty's fate Whose pain upon heart does pelt Riderless horse in garden below Footsteps her heart alarms Door flung wide her eyes bestow So loving his outstretched arms!
