All little boys they grow up
To bigger ones it's so~
And whenever they just might fall ill
I'm sure they'll let you know~
They need ever so much sympathy
And huds and all that stuff~
For when a boy gets ill it's true
The going can be rough~
But theres always little things that work
To have them feel even better still~
It used to work for me it's so
Guess they always will~
If there was something that made me
Feel way better on the day~
It was a large cup of Irish coffee
Made in that Old original Irish way~
And now and then an egg nog
And other times a glass of rich red wine~
Served in a generious portion
Now that'll work just fine~
A small plate of dark chockolates
Sometimes a cup of simple hot black tea~
And a few slices of well cooked hot toast
It used to work for me~
One thing I really enjoyed
Was to sit in a protected spot out in the morning sun~
In the biggest most comfortable oldest chair
Wraped in a traveling rug and I snoozed like a contented chum~
But of course life would be no good
If you never had a dedicated nurse~
Most of all if you had married her
Now lets face it life could be worse~
But rest assure the one you adore
Will take good care of you~
And if you don't complain a lot
All above she just might do ~
