Do we ever stop to think about
Why those ever so long ago~
Left stories in their tombs
For us to dig and know~
They knew that life on earth would end
As it's done so many times before~
And knew that we would want to know
Of the world they too did adore~
Away away deep within the earth
Or closer to the ground~
I feel that we too should all
Bury time capsules to be found~
I know that this has been done
Sometimes every now and then~
But the need to tell of away way more
Of us now then being way back when~
We place our words in poetic form
Our deepest thoughts and feelings too~
But if we as well place them more so deeply
In future times they'd dig and know of little you~
This earth has been cleaned just like a blackboard
So many more times it's so~
And eventually re stocked with human life
More times than we've yet come to know~
If we took a leaf from the oldest books
Things they did for reasons why~
In future times they'd know of us
And how life was for us today one can't deny~
If we as well did as they've done
To paint as well a picture of our today~
Then maybe all us little people would too
Tell of life as we know it to be come what may~
This way all those that follow
The next students to classroom earth~
Would and could understand and discover
How things were today , Our life of worth~
