Bring forth the plow and till the soil make the furrows deep....
Bring forth the plow and till the soil
make the furrows deep.
Turn the hardened earth and rake back
every mud-baked clod.
Spread the herbicide and fertilize
all the seeds that sleep.
There within those empty vacant fields
within my mind's vast sod.
Gently water those fragile new shoots
now sprung which flourish there.
Pray pull the weeds and chase away
all the hungry crows.
Guard my precious crop with vigilance
and the utmost of care.
Watch the wonder of this enriched brain
as it freely grows.
