Heart Of The Matter
Coming Home
They say it's where the heart is,
Where souls can be as one,
A place where thoughts are carried,
Intention always done,
A land where time is endless,
No fear of pain or strife,
No hunger, war or tempest,
No greed, no endless fight,
A world where peace will find you,
And companionship abides,
Together with our loved ones,
Standing by our side,
We come here for a short time,
And lessons, we must learn,
To live in perfect harmony,
And give, that which we earn,
Extend the hand of friendship,
To all we meet each day,
A kindly word or gesture,
Will go a long, long way,
Each deed is for the record,
No malice goes unseen,
Presented there before us,
In the book that's evergreen,
Dear God, be there to guide me,
Give me strength and peace and love,
Accomplishing the tasks you set,
As you sent me from above,
This world is but illusion,
The lessons, ours alone,
And from the day we touched this earth,
We are always, coming home.
