I thought I saw a glimpse of light In your approach, but in my fright Too quickly I became confused My senses felt totally abused I rushed towards you with opened hands I did not know your intended plans Your strong words to me were penned Not in the words of a true friend They painted a picture not so bright In my fear not in God's light I thought I saw great things in you I did not know exactly what to do So I backed away into my shell I feared impending demons straight from hell Your strong words my fears impelled Where no light before had dwelled I was afraid that your presence caused A consternation in me because I did not want to be hurt anymore My heart was hurt too much before And my Christian belief holds the reins Of my experiences filled with pain copyright©2004Irene .·:*¨¨*:·..·:*¨¨*:·..·:*¨¨*:·.
