A Thanksgiving Diamond

Better than a turkey or sweet potato pie
Is the smile on her face and the twinkle in her eye
Warmer than the morning sun sitting high above
Is the kiss from her lips and the comfort of her hug
Sweeter than the cake and the cookies too
Is the sound of her voice saying "daddy, I love you"
On this thanksgiving, and for many, many more
My Diamond is something I'll always be thankful for
Not on my finger, wrist, ears, or neck
Not bought with cash, credit card, or check
But this is a gift given free from above
A Thanksgiving Diamond with Thanksgiving love
Although this Thanksgiving we are far apart
I'm thankful for the Diamond I wear in my heart
             I Love You Diamond
