Memories

Hearing a truck pull into the driveway
It triggers the memory of what happened that dreadful day

He walked in and slammed the door
I didn't want to be there anymore
He threw his hat on the ground
Then I heard him stomping around

All of a sudden I ran to my room
I hid in the corner knowing he'd be there soon
Next to my room he was beating on the wall
It sounded harder than when I throw a softball

The door swung open and my trophies fell down
I was scared so I didn't make a sound
I knew he was pissed when he knocked over my nightstand
I looked up and saw his hand

He looked around and then came around the bed
He looked at me, smiled, and then said "you're dead"
He came at me and I covered my head
He stood there and then grabbed my legs

He pulled me across the floor a few feet
And put his shirt down to keep the mess neat
I tried pulling my pants so he couldn't hurt me
He hit me in the ribs and I couldn't breathe

I grabbed my sides and he pulled down my pants
I knew that it would be painful after that
I tried to keep my legs together so he couldn't get in
But he was obviously determined that he was gonna win

He had his pants all the way to his knees
Then his hand was on my face so I couldn't see
My leg was hurting because he had it pined under his leg
I kept screaming no dad yelling but he wouldn't stop

He started feeling around and got situated
He then pushed it in to be bluntly stated
It hurt so bad and he slammed down my head
At that point it hurt more than my leg

I finally got my leg up to kick him away
And crawled under the bed hoping he wouldn't stay
I was just small enough to get under there
My mom walked in but she didn't care

He pushed the bed over and came after me
I started kicking so he held down my feet
He pulled me out and grabbed my hair
Then I was fighting with all my mite

He hit me over and over again
I started screaming more because of the hurt
He told me to stop crying and it would be done
I couldn't because as far as strength I had none

I remember hitting him with my fist
But I don't remember anything after that
I woke up laying naked in the floor
And I couldn't move because I was so sore

My leg was still hurting and I didn't think he was around
But I couldn't move and I was still laying on the ground
Hearing a truck pull into the driveway
I know today won't be like that day
If I ever see him again I'll put him six foot under ground
