No different than when man sailed to a land
On the ships then of the day~
To a place they'd never been
And did so then in their own way~
We too once long ago
Came to a place we'd never been~
To a planet called earth on the day
So many new sights there to be seen~
Arriving here we thought that we
Would find ourselves all alone~
But that simply was not so
Other things had already made earth home~
We settled in with its beauty supreme
And now in looking back down through the years~
I honestly wonder what have we done
It could well bring a soul to tears~
But I see earth as a class
And visitors are we~
As one day we will all move on
Nature will repossess it all you see~
I wonder what we would do and think
If we were earths landlord above~
And see just what we have done
In many ways to his planet home of love~
There has been much wonderful and loving dees
But way to many times it's true~
We have abused the very gift
Given to us as visitors right through~
Weve treated this planet as if we own it
And we don't and never will~
With all the holes in it that we have dug
Only mother nature she can fill~
But after all said and done
We are but visitors on earth~
We came and one day we will all leave
This beautiful planet home of such worth~
