Awaken

Love, as dormant as a rosebush
Yearning for the days of spring
Finds comfort in the memories it holds

Waiting, always waiting for warmth
Waiting for breezes so soft, unhindered
To awaken the love once again

For nothing contains more beauty
Than a heart held in full bloom
Colors of happiness, of joy

Perseverence, a well known friend
Providing the very needs to get by, to live
Until the bitter frost is over

Love, as dormant as a rosebush
Yearning for the days of spring
Will bloom so true once more
