She wrapped herself in a coat of dreams
That shimmered and gently glowed
Moulding to her body like a second skin
So that not a wrinkle or join showed
Moving gently with her slipping down
Into healing cleansing sleep of peace
Sometimes it glowed fiery red from heat
As it soothed away any littlest unease

She dreamed her coat of dreams
Fashioned it from happier days
Re spinning memories to weave
Them in many subtle magic ways
So that she could dream within
Those dreams she dreamed
So vividly she had a second world
Or to her mind it so seemed

Thus she slept as though cocooned
Unaware or passing time and life
As those years slipped on and gone
As though shredded by a gutting knife
Away from that reality that wasn't real
The life support system gently whirred
Enclosed in her coat of bright dreams
The dreamer never even slightly stirred
