MRS. VAUGHNMrs. Vaughn she likes to stay home She has her brandy She's a lot like me I have my kind of candy And it makes it better In this small town Maybe I'll send her a card or letter Or poem to send my love around I'd like to rake her yard this Spring Offer a helping hand Maybe a smile I could bring To make a future plan I don't reach out much But she gave me her loving touch A hug, strong and secure And now, although afraid, I love her Why am I so shy That's why I write these lines Don't have to be eye to eye For that poet person to shine Mrs. Vaughn is very elegant She makes me want to dye my hair And lose some sizes Can I try to share? Share with her a little of my time In reality not just in rhyme Because maybe someday she'll be gone And I want to give her more than a song. 1/22/1996 1200 cj Vote for this poem
