PLEASE QUIT SMOKING AGAIN, MY DEAR

When I wrote poetry
I didn't smoke tobacco
It helped set me free
From having an attacko

Now to write it again
Send it away
Get to the doctor
Get some patches today

Give up that filthy habit
That slowly kills
Throw it away forever
Like paying off those final bills

Listen to those tapes
Hang out alone
Say No! No! No!
Be solid as a stone

Cause breathing is what it's all about
A 2500cc volume going in and out
And smelling all of the fresh air
Is what the Earth with me would share.
