A Private Hice Story
The Private Hice
Saving lives bye giving mine
Sergeant we are still pinned down.
They have machine guns.
I can't send anyone out.
It would be suicide to try.
Someone needs to draw they fire.
So the rest of us can escape.
We are all cowards anyway.
Private Hice he climbed the hill.
Private Hice he called the fill.
Private Hice he came to stay.
Private Hice is dead today.
Private Hice let the men away.
Private Hice is Jesus.
Private Hice The end of time has come,
there is not a love stronger,
and than the one I have for my men.
Explosions and fighting all around us.
My Men are in danger of the judgment.
Time has come for me to die.
Eye am leaving all my things behind.
The letters are just paper.
I spent the money to survive.
My lady loves me.
Private Hice is in command.
We only move on his say so.
GO I CRY, and up the hill I go.
He is Hit they cry oh why did he do that,
I Looked around me before I went.
Sure that all of them made it.
Private Hice IS Jesus.
Given Up Private Hice is Given UP
his life
to save his men.
They are pinned down again,
up the hill I cannot make it.
The machine guns penetrated
I love my ewe I love my GOD
my life is for my men.
They must not die. They must make it
to my heaven. Private Yellow NO Private Hice
we need a man to go to the enemy zone.
Private Hice we are pinned down in the enemy zone.
Private Hice are yew yellow can yew go.
Private Hice is a man he will go.
To the enemy zone.
TO live eye only have to die.
Eye am a man in the enemy zone.
Eye am hit but I am fine.
Eye am wounded but I climb.
Private Hice we need a man. Will yew go in.
to the enemy zone?
Yes.  Private Saga The symbols and the signs of war
that some men are so proud of.
Eye was just a PFC and the only memory of me,
is just a upside down tear drop.
Ewe may not belief me so go l () () k at a uniform.
Iff they is a man still standing somewhere in one.
The thing looks like a chevron
some say an ice cream cone.
TO me it was the tear drop that I cried.
The day mye Mother died.
Life has not been kind to me.
And women never sighed at me
or wanted me to unwind with them.
In my Dress Uniform,
my shoulder ached with my lost desire.
The thing is just a symbol of a thing.
The teardrop is upsides down.
The Camp Follower Lieutenant Masters was in command.
They moved the whole ARMY from land to land.
The river was swift and the water was deep.
They placed the pontoons almost under my feet.
I was invisible tracker almost a ghost walker.
And when I got the officers attention was He
happy to see me no I almost got detention.
How did you do that He said to me.
How can you follow us like that so stealthily?
I did not want to go for a swim said I
and I smiled at him when I said it.
Well we can NOT take you with us or feed you.
You were a good man he sighed.
I shadowed them then day in and day out.
Scrounging for clothing and food never out.
Not once did I suffer or beg.
Even old crackers are nice from the bag.
An old soldier just suffers and dies.
The camp follower following the flow.
Just a Shadow. Bivowhack
They did not ever call it camping.
And when the MAN on the bunk next to me.
Lifted up his shelter -half and smiled at me.
I knoe I did not want to go their bivowhack.
I just am not made like that, a loner,
even a Christian in mye religion,
but not gay or very happy.
I did not like the way he smiled at me.
And tried to admire my anatomy in the shower stall.
I did NOT hurt him I remember
I tossed my rubber chicken knife at him
And promised him it would be real next time.
They left me then alone again.
Just playing with my rubber chicken knife.
When I camp out I do it carefully.
With mye real knife now.
You queer should be afraid of me.
And now and how. Camoflauge
More people die directly shot at with a gun,
than get hit with motor cars.
I hide in day light by obeying LAW.
I carry a weapon made of wind, fashioned out of love.
Some people die from accidental death.
They simply fall.
I move about from place to place to different place.
I eat, I sweat, I defecate.
a foreigner in the midst of Paradise.
A guest.
Some men train for hardship.
Some for fighting,
some for stealing,
some for living,
some for Death.
My advice to the new Army.
Green clothing is useless in the snow.
White Stuff is best.
Or at the very least wear Khaki's.
Please?
Life is just a test.
A Round Is A Round Hit is hit
and Down is Down and a Round Is A Round.
In the end of the fight,
a man is still in the ground he is made of.
Terror bye day and diseases at nite.
These are the devil tools in a fight.
When eye did practice mye fight.
Eye gave up mye life.
Not to dispute with ewe,
not to resume with the fight.
To Enter To Rest, To Sabbath.
To Heaven and then, to End.
The End of man is just to begin.
My men they did live again.
We win bye sacrifice never bye gain.
We win bye the love in our eyes and our smiles.
Many such smiles have eye seen.
I hope EYE can smile in ewe dreams.
My love is the dust left behind. The Training Exercise
Entry point was awesome. Sentry was asleep on feet.
The man was physically in front of me.
But no body was at home.
They handed me a large
grenade made out of black molasses.
It is the way we talk, we kick they asses.
I launched the thing and then,
my instructor knocked me down.
Can't you see that shrapnel coming back around.
He was only mad for me to be for my own safety.
Eye told him I was never scared.
He shook his head at me and walked away.
Fear is always left at home.
It is the ARMY way.
Thank Yew Sergeant, anyway.
The Private Signal
We used to make a cricket sound.
Out in the field
to let us knoe
we are around.
Something that the Indians do
when they sound like hooty owls.
And the food was good but never lasted.
The men got tired and slept an hour.
The enemies came and I alone was ready.
To meet my fate.
I blasted on my tooter.
The thing sounded like a cricket fence.
Up and running I paced my men.
Beside them I stood out taller.
Even though I was much shorter.
Flares are up they cried.
And I stood up, enveloped in the
light I was disaster.
The men went on but paused.
And that is when I loved them.
The crickets still give out they signal.
Eye went home. No Mans Land NO MANS LAND
NO MANS LAND
In all of the war movies I have ever seen.
There is a place called no mans land.
It is just an in between.
A sanctuary it was not ever meant to be.
For the soldiers killed anyone
they found to be
in no mans land.
NO mans land is where I have been
for all my earthly time.
Just in between the killing and the lies.
Ewe have taken me from no mans land.
And let me see my future it is bright.
Take me away from no mans land.
And back in to the light.
Of ewe love.
