Sweet Burden Of The Heart

When darkest night falls heavy on the heart,
The moonlight fails to light the way ahead,
When circumstances tear our world apart,
The silent solace tempers thoughts unheard,

The midnight song sighs softly in the room,
The sweetly scented candle burning bright,
The flame is strong defiant in the gloom,
Incandescent, fascinating florid night,

Our fond farewells are witness to the tune,
A joyful rendering of loves refrain,
Melodiously, moving magic moon,
Resplendent, in its mystery again.

Sweet burden of the heart, I fare thee well,
Pray haste ye back, for in my heart, ye dwell.
