Jesus Paid

Saint Matthew 1-23
Behold a virgin shall be
with child,and shall bring
forth a son, and they shall
call his name Emmanuel which
being interpreted is,
God with us
God so loved his children
He sent his only son to earth
To a beautiful young virgin
To our lord she gave birth
Jesus knew the cross was waiting
Until he grew into a man
He knew he was to die there
With nails in his feet and hands
He knew the reason he knew when
It was the will of his father
He had to pay that awful price
To save God children From eternal sin
But He prayed father if thou be willing
Remove this cup from me
Never the less not my will.
But thine be done
They beat him until his blood ran down
They spat on him laughed and mocked him
And for the son of God
With thorns they made a crown
Then they nailed him to a cross
In the tomb for three days he lay
Death could not keep him bound
The third day the rock was rolled away
The tomb was opened
Our lord was not found
It was the will of God the father
That his son should  arise  again
He had paid that awful debt
On the cross for our sins
Thank you dear Jesus
