 In my dreams she comes
You knocked on my door and I said ‘come on in'
And when I saw you I knew I was dreaming
‘Mum?' I said ‘Am I dreaming because you're dead?'
But she just smiled and sat at the end of my bed
I tell her I miss her and that I am trying my best
I tell her I love her, as I Cry in her chest
I tell her everything that is going on
And she kisses my head and tells me to be strong
I ask what it's like where she is
And she says' It's ok my love' and gives me a kiss
I tell her I miss her every single day
And as she gets up to leave, I beg her to stay
She looks so healthy and the cancer is gone
She smiles at me as though nothing is wrong
My eyes become heavy and I awake in tears
And lay in my bed thinking about those happy years
I look at my clock and it says 4am
And I smile, as I know in my dreams I will see her again.
