The disciples were in a boat at sea
A storm came up with no way to flee How inconvenient that Jesus was asleep The waves were fierce and ever so deep They woke Him up for they were scared To them it seemed Jesus didn't even care Jesus calmed the storm saying peace be still He had the power for He obeyed God's will Where is your faith was what Jesus did say Didn't they trust Him to save them that day? They were too worried that they would drown And focused on the circumstances all around Maybe you are troubled and filled with strife Jesus wants you to have peace in your life Give your burdens to Him and know He cares Be assured that He will listen to your prayers If you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Friend He has a new life of blessings for you without end Come with child-like faith and give Him your heart God will show you if you don't know where to start John 14:27 (AMP) Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] Written by Carol Salter on 3/29/07 Vote for this poem
