Betty My Forever Friend!
When a love as deep as the ocean,
As vast as the big wide sea!
It suddenly becomes a sadness…
That only we can see.
When time is of the essence,
And is slowly ticking away,
But drawing nearer,
Until the time comes when you can't stay!
When the heart so full of love,
Is slowly ebbing away,
And the life force inside you…
Is getting weaker every day!
You can't understand the emotions,
That are tearing you apart,
The pain you feel's insurmountable;
It's truly breaking your heart.
The love light leaves your eyes,
Then the day is drawing near,
And the pain gets deeper,
Because her mind is no longer clear…
When watching the emotions,
Flowing all around,
You can't see the rhyme or reason,
And solace can't be found!
When the time is near,
And when you're torn apart,
There's nothing you can do,
Except keep her in your heart.
When she's flown away,
Like a feather on the breeze.
And you can hear her whisper,
In the rustle of the trees…!
That's when she's found peace,
And is out of pain and sorrow,
But we will meet again,
When there dawns a brand new tomorrow.
Tomorrow is always ahead in time,
Every day becomes the past,
Until one day soon,
We all will be united - together at last!
