~+~ The Resurrection Season ~+~
Every now and then I jump up and down on my spiritual soapbox, and I offer no apology for it. The Lord called me to preach this gospel, and I have to call it (not just like I see it) but like the Lord gives it to me.
This is a thought for everyone who takes things so lightly concerning what some call "holidays", and the will of God for us all.
Remember, this Resurrection Season is not about a baby chick, or a brightly colored Easter egg. It's not about new clothes. A bunny rabbit did not hang on the cross for me (or for you), A bunny rabbit did not raise up out of the grave and save my soul, A colored egg is not coming back in the clouds for me!!!!! No baby chick healed the sick or raised the dead!!!!! It's time we placed the reason for the season back in it's proper perspective!!! We say Happy Easter, but actually it is the Resurrection Day of our Lord and Savior, the day He rose with all power in His hands, and in His hands were the keys to Hell and Death!!! Let's STOP downplaying it as though the worlds most awesome event should just be placed on life's backburner as an afterthought....
Today is Palm Sunday....the day Jesus made His triumphant entrance into Jerusalem and thousands thronged Him crying Hosanna!!! King of Kings!!!!, then just days later were shouting Crucify Him!!! Give us Barrabus!!! Today people are still shouting "Away with Jesus...Give us a day in the park to search for Easter Eggs and buy cuddly bunny rabbits for the children, Crucify going to church!!! Give us a nice brunch at Grandma's and a family bar b que!!!
Why do we insist on giving this victory and praise to bunny rabbits and eggs?
Why are we teaching our children to hunt for colored eggs instead of searching for Jesus, seeking Him while He may be found?
We say children are too young to understand about Jesus....that's a trick of the devil.
They aren't too young to understand video games, they aren't too young to die in school shootings etc.

I was so very impacted by this verse; that the Lord gave me..."Lord I want to KNOW you better, and LOVE You more", as well as inspired.....and to some degree shamed.......I don't know how it is for you, but I have been a Christian for 31 years as of Jan. 15th......over the years of course I have slipped, scooted, tripped and actually fallen out of God's will and flat on my spiritual fanny, but after being restored, my love for the Lord has grown, matured, deepened......but there are times where I just go through each day as I did the day before........in other words, I get complacent...., comfortable, which leads to a sort of boredom I guess is how to describe it........and I find the same to be true in a marriage......the husband calls and you just don't have very much to say, yes, no maybe, ok...just the hum drum rut of complacency.
I think that complacency is dangerous, not only in everyday life, but in my spiritual life too...... When I read this statement my spirit cried out 'yes'.......I thought, Lord, I do want to fellowship in Your suffering, I DO want to rejoice in the power of Your Resurrection. I do want to know you better....and I do want to love you more........each moment that ticks by is a moment gone......the clock winds down.....and one day will stop....did I spend my moments wisely? Seeking the Lord? Serving Him? Loving Him? Adoring Him? Praising Him? Did I offer my heart and life to Him to do with and build with and use as He pleases? Did I love my husband to the best of my ability? What about my children? My friends? These moments will not be reimbursed to me.......or to you...Have we been good stewards of our time? What about our kindness.....did we share it freely or just with people we love?
Yes, this statement impacted me and caused me to want to know Him better and love Him more.........I miss the mark daily......but I have not quit pursuing the prize.......and I trust in Him to complete the good work that He has begun in me........and in you...
Last night in my pursuit of knowing Him better and loving Him more I read the book of James......one of my most favorite books.........it is a great read........
Wise men still Seek Him........don't seek the living among the dead....all these material things will perish with the using, set your affection on things above not things below. Jesus is still the reason for the season.

her visit in the presence of the Holy Spirit I must add here also for
I too have a few words to share in agreement...my passion
is the same as hers when it comes to Jesus being exalted at
all times! I'm so tired of Jesus getting the second acknowledgement,
if any ...when it comes to Reasons for the Seasons it is for Him!!
I gave my life to Jesus 40 yrs ago and although I had not been
the best that I can be in past years I strive now to be His servant
and do the Will He has for my life. He Lives Now but He suffered for us
tremendously as his blood flowed down Calvary. Jesus is the Reason
for every Easter season !! Bring Him back for a renewed generation.
He is pouring out His spirit and gifts given need to be used for
the Glory of God!! Jesus is OUR Savior....NOT no bunny rabbit!!
