The Wind Blew

Photobucket
riding through the night upon her gallant steed
the princess elf had her mission to fulfill
to announce the arrival of her father the king
the wind blew through her hair she felt the freedom

a war was brewing between the elves and the underworld
the thought frightened her when she spent time on it
so she tried not to give it much thought she just sped on
the wind blew through her hair she felt the freedom

the magic the elves possessed was only in the royal family now
the aunts the uncles distant cousins all possessed as well
they were the targets of the underworld protected they must be
the wind blew through her hair she felt the freedom

she had to try and reach her goal for a sacrifice she was
the people had grown complacent war was not accepted anymore
her death would wake them us she was their beloved princess
the wind blew through her hair she felt the freedom

four peasants found her body and her steed in the forest
their anger and remorse lit the fire that the king needed
he mourned his daughter greatly but her sacrifice was essential
the wind blew through her hair she felt the freedom
