 awake...
awake in the darkness-
slipping from dream-
wishing for drifting
and floating- unseen...

stomach all tensing-
gurgling 'n strange-
head in a stupour-
thoughts rearrange...

downstairs creep quietly-
butter some bread-
make a hot coffee-
then back to bed...

lay there in rhythm-
breathe out 'n breathe in-
curl up in softness-
let dreaming begin...
