A Sonnet For HimYour shallow breaths speak softly in my arms I watch as reverie takes center stage So calm in tranquil dream's caressing charms Enraptured is this longing heart, engaged. Enticement gently lures a wakened sense I cry aloud and yet I'm still unheard This heart has finally let down its defense And speaks to you without a single word. The past becomes diluted, thin and frail I raised the bar, you fell right into place Down unworn paths we'll blaze a mighty trail My world is now the size of your embrace. Rest peacefully for now my sleeping knight 'Til morning's sun ignites true love's delight. **This is my first sonnet. The meter is ab/ab, cd/cd, ef/ef, gg.** Looks like I have my inspiration back!!
