EASTER-SATURDAYEnd of winter, spring is here Boil the eggs melt the wax It's time of good cheer Hustle and bustle no time to relax Teutonic goddess Eastre A festival is planned Winter was so austere Where once was snow now its sand The eggs are changed from white To bright colors even iridescent hues To capture the children's smiles and delight They'll be pinks, reds, purples, and blues Hide them here and over there Spread them far and wide It will be fun to watch and cheer Little ones searching for eggs we hide What is that I hear them ask? Why it's the Easter bunny Giving out baskets doing his task He walks kinda funny JDW©2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
