Absent Minded
The difference beteween me and you
You work all day and focus on what you are doing
i sit here unemployed
and my thoughts of what to think about next consume me
what things do i continually revisit?
as i discover myself differently everyday
and bounce my tangents off of different tangents
The differenece between me and you is
when we talk I've spent all day thinking these things
where youve had the freedom of concentrating on work
and ive been pondering politics religion and god
why the worlds is the way it is and how to change it
the world layers and how everything adds up silly games and languages
What topics we talk about when we have a conversation
you show such intelligence and sometimes inspire me to rethink some things
but ohnestly my job is to think yours is to do
I think about movies id like to see and poems id like to read
life lessons the world needs to understand before they die
i think of child psychology and artistic metaphors to unlock symbolic self esteem
and try to figure out the reasons i selflessly and selfishly cry
What topics must a philosopher go over and over and over again
whay view points must a self created man think
then think about and expand to discover himself
and the legions of men different and alike from him
what is the difference from me to you
besides the fact i am paid to think and you are paid to do
besides i work to inspire and aspire for desires
and wonder what desires i rteasure in a world where what is left seems so few
I am unemployed and sit here to think
and think about god and me
and life and its complications

i think anout life and death and why peopl ekill and psychology
and all of their former and present prtocreations of wealth
and wars of our fathers
and justified retaliations of nations
I think of conspiracy theories and mysteries
and psychics and puzzles
but what are the most important things for a philosopher to ponder?
what are the most defining thouights of the times
of yesterday and the years of the previous centuries
and the lessons we are repeating today?
the philosopher sees that
and thinks them through religiously philosophicly poeticly
diplomaticly
selflessly selfishly
for justice
for hope
the difference between me and you
besides you think about today
and i reinact yesterday in thought and emotion
the difference between me and you
besides the fact that i am pauid to think and you are paid to do
the difference between me and you
besides the fact we argue to discover hopw we agree
I am a poet
a philosopher
a thinker
a problem solver
a self created something out of nothing with noi degree
you are a somebody made something
too busy to think about these things and think them through
i am paid to think
and even the world leaders are merely paisd to do
