SEVEN YEARS AN ANGEL
There's an Angelman
Who hasn't been in my plan
I've tried to stay away
Even though I think of you everyday
Thinking about how good I was
Just because
He let me love him
An angel, only God above him
I soared on Fuji wings
And oh the songs he made me sing
Not too proud to beg and plead
He filled my deepest need
The need to write
To put up a good fight
So strong I could climb this hill
Then write a song, my soul was filled
You used to be that angel on my block
Anytime, I'd make you rock
All you had to do was take
To ask, for my heart not to break
All I had to do was give
To my angel, you, who helps me live
Want to give up so much
Need your touch
Want the wind in my hair
Love it if you would care
Merry Christmas, sweet angel I adore
Bless you, Angelman, let me soar
Happy New Year, Angel Sweet
I'd like to have me at your feet
For God to help me live again
To love my Earthking, my Angelman
Here in Pendleton for now I'll stay
I'll think of you my sweet each day
And maybe I will save something
Someday again I'll sing
To sing a song of love and joy
About an angel, a kid, a man, a boy
That is all I need to do
My dear sweet love, to give to you.
