'Misunderstood'
You cannot fix someone
Who does not wish to be fixed;
One who escapes reality
By hiding beneath their blankets
You cannot replace the vices
They administer in place of love,
And it does not matter what you say to them;
It will never be good enough
No matter how many times they fall
They will never let you pick them up
They must do it on their own
No matter what
They will never let you see them break;
In front of you, they will not cry
Don't bother to ask them to open up
It's pointless to even try
It matters not how much you care
They will still just run away
You can try to talk them out of it
But there is really nothing you can say
You cannot understand them
Those who are beyond misunderstood
But I can tell you this much
They would appreciate it immensely if you could.
