¤¤ Walking Away ¤¤
I'm walking away instead of taking a stand
I'd rather back off than reach for your hand
I know I'm wrong not to stay by your side
But I'll feel better in the shadows I'll hide
My choice in all this is to go as far as I can
A new life I'll seek to feel like a man
As I look at our lives it's been my fault too
My pride in myself had to shine through
Life's a roller coaster not easy to ride
We have to hang on to remain safe inside
I'd like to run back, to cry out your name
To crawl in your arms, to hide from my shame
It's too late to return, I've begun to walk
Wish we had the time to sit down and talk

Note:
Divorce is so ugly & painful.
Sometimes we make many mistakes.
Be sure to say all the things that
are needed to be said before
walking away.
