Prepare the Way
A voice cries out in the wilderness,
Prepare the way for our Lord God;
Pay homage as well as confess,
Worship Him to honor and laud.
Pave in the desert a highway,
For being as straight as can be;
No potholes having to sway,
Smooth as far as you can see.
Every valley be extolled,
As the mountains are made low;
While His journey to unfold,
Along side the crimson tide flow.
While His plan shall be unsealed,
All will see Him in His glory;
As the truth shall be revealed,
From His mouth the whole story.
Then all who had a doubt,
Shall know His Word holds true;
Alas they will be left out,
As believers fade from view.
