 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Did you hear my whispers in the dark
night after night,
the longing in my heart poured out
into the silent air?
Did you feel my loneliness each day,
ever present,
weighing heavy upon my emotions,
crying from my empty soul?
Did you know I've waited for you
to come to me,
feeling the depth of my need for you
reaching out into the stillness?
Did you see me in your thoughts
embracing you,
enveloping the void you had that
only love could come and fill?
Did I ever believe that
a love this pure
existed and would suddenly appear
to bless my world this way?

Did our spirits breathe as one
before we met,
mercifully leading us together
into this space in time?
Did you... did I…did we?
The universe did...
...and love is ours.
We did it,
Didn't we?
