Heart Of The Matter

The Predator ,,,, Revisited

The predator, he stalks, and walks behind,
Just waiting, watching, eager for the kill,
Another victim, certain, he will find,
Another set to weaken to his will,

Steely eyes, so cold and calculating,
Just waiting, for his opportunity,
Lust for power, he finds at times, frustrating,
Preserving hidden anonymity,

Insidious, his lustful, hidden heart,
His words are there, for all the world to see,
One voice, he writes with fervent, fledgling pen,
He camouflages his identity.

His victim unaware of pending doom,
Oblivious to what is yet to be,
He sees her from across a crowded room,
Her heart, devoid of all immunity.

He makes his move across the crowded floor,
He smiles and asks her,
"Have we met before"?

And before you ask again, “is this for me?”,
If the club fits ….wield it!
