Heart Of The Matter
Crime
Niece, Photographed by Linda Harnett ©1994
Did Hitler look like this?
A bundle of innocence?
A picture of bliss?
We all smile,
When we see such a sight,
But who knows what might,
Or might not happen,
When the innocent,
Travel through time,
And commit,
The most atrocious,
CRIME.

Nav is a poet friend of mine from years back, I showed him this photograph and asked him to write a poem for me...
This is the result of that brief conversation all those years ago. The poem shocked me when I first read it as it was not what I expected him to say.
(Nav, This is my tribute to you. I have never forgotten this poem, nor you. If you still have my number, call me, before we both move on through life.)
PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS, I AM NOT THE AUTHOR, BUT I WISH I WAS!
