GOODBYE OLD FRIEND

GOODBYE OLD FRIEND

Sorry old girl but it was time to let you go,
I was more than fond, I loved you you know,
But the time had come when you could no longer stay,
The parting was sad as we each went our own way.

We`ve travelled the road together you and I,
As I travel I`ll think of this and I`ll sigh,
We have clocked up a few miles between us,
Mountain high and valley low with no fuss.

I`ll look for you which ever road I take,
If I see you I`ll wave for old times sake,
I bet there are a few stories you could tell,
Maybe a book you could write and even sell.

You were reliable, warm and comfy,
And your radio was company for me,
You were careful and steered me from harm,
Your looks and colour were part of your charm.

So thank you for the sights you let me see,
With your new owner I hope you`ll happy be,
I will never forget you, no fear,
My beautiful blue Fiat Marea.
