Love Plays Hide And Go SeekWe've all been there back aways However some they still don't know~ That true love it's always been around that true love for which we search for so~ Those that look for it every day Cannot wait for it to appear~ And those that simply live for each day Usually find that true love so dear~ True love it plays hide and seek With hearts that need to know it's there~ Some say it's all a matter of timing Others say true love simply is not fair~ But I remember years ago True love played gamed with my heart too~ And I as well once looked for it That true love so forever true~ I should have listened to advice I received from my grandmother long ago~ Watching a pot won't make it boil It'll boil when it's ready don't you know~ I went through life and thought I'd found The true love that I looked for on the day~ But it turned out to be something else you see And thus it faded and drifted far away~ Best to concentrate on life so fine And enjoy it best you can~ If your heart it searches for true love Not to reveal your plan~ Live one day at a time But always keep in mind~ Love and being in love two very different things But this takes sometimes years to find~ Love it plays hide and seek Best to refuse to play it's game~ As love and being in love different emotions One is not the other and not the same~ Being in love happens when two souls Both at the same time let each other know~ Without even having to think That are in love with each other so~ You cannot mistake it with anything less You simply have no choice~ When two souls both fall in love Two hearts together they rejoice~ Cannot be found just hanging around It comes from a higher place~ One never needs to say they found true love today It's written all over both their face~ That special one since you both begun Is on their way to you~ But don't sit around just marking ground Or you could miss it it's oh so true~ Just enjoy each day come what may And keep your values high~ One day without you even knowing it Real true love will fall as if from the sky~ Terrence Michael Sutton Copyright 2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
