Thinking Of YouFinding pattens within the clouds And upon the moon when it's full and blue~ Looking out of my highest widow nights And just thinking my love of you~ Watching endlessly for a star to fall And travel slowly across the sky~ Listening to the night breezes As they dance among the trees and sigh~ Sometimes think I hear your name As the gentle night breezes blow~ Standing in the dark outside I heard a lark As it flew past the blue moons glow~ I listen to the smallest frogs Down in my yonder pond~ And as I look out my window nights How I miss your love so fond~ I wonder if you too can see The same moon that I do~ But where you are it's daytime now And there your moon might not be blue~ I know that you will be home soon I am counting every day~ The days are fine but every time The nights come I feel this way~ A small cricket kept me company for awhile As it sat there upon my window sill~ It sang me a song but not to long I'm sure it said love me you always will~ The silence then it creeps in so And I toddle off to bed~ Then I dream of my angel queen And think of the last words that you said~ The little things I seem to do When you are not by my side~ Won't be long and we will sing loves song And you will be my bride~ But till you return and times candles burn The time it seems to goes so slow~ How I miss your loving kiss The girl that I love so~ Terrence Michael Sutton Copyright 2005 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
